Formosa Azalea: A True Eye-Catcher!

This wonderful evergreen shrub is a true eye-catcher and a fantastic addition to any yard! The Formosa Azalea is a vigorously spreading, evergreen shrub with an upright habit. The magnificent flowers bloom in the Spring and are large (3") with vivid reddish-purple or magenta colors. Depending on the area, the flowers may emerge again in a second bloom in the Fall. It grows, on average, to 8' tall. It prefers partial shade to full sun and acidic, moist, well-drained soil. When established, it has some drought tolerance.
