    About

Known as the harbinger of Spring, the Eastern Redbud’s delicate blossoms and buds are one of the seasons most breathtaking displays. Spectacular rosy pink blossoms appear in dramatic fashion in April. But this tree’s beauty doesn’t end with its flowery show. It offers wonderfully colorful foliage year-round with reddish-brown leaves changing to dark green then to yellow in the Fall. In addition, its unique and irregular branching patterns combine with a trunk that commonly divides close to the ground to create a very handsome, spreading and often flat-topped crown. Even in Winter, covered with snow, the Eastern Redbud is stunning. This elegant species is a wonderful addition to any space.

    Wildlife

The seeds are eaten by the northern bobwhite and a few songbirds, such as chickadees. The tree is also used for nesting sites and nesting materials and provides shelter for numerous birds and mammals.

    History

Native to North America and Canada with cousins in Europe and Asia. First cultivated in 1811. The Spaniards noted Redbuds and made distinctions between the New World species and their cousins in the Mediterranean region in 1571.

Well-earned designation as the State tree of Oklahoma. George Washington reported in his diary on many occasions about the beauty of the tree and spent many hours in his garden transplanting seedlings obtained from the nearby forest.

    Wonderful service

I lost my Husky of 18 years, and this was a great way to memorialize her. I received the urn and the tree within a week, and the quality of both was outstanding. I highly recommend this company and the services they offer.

    Quality service

I ordered the urn and willow for my dog’s cremains. The service was easy to use, with clear instructions and useful information. The living urn couldn’t be simpler to use (I was concerned it might be unduly complex). The urn arrived beautifully packaged (the casing and materials are quality). I had to change the tree’s delivery date; that took a couple of phone calls to the nursery, but the tree arrived in good condition. It’s hard to say how well it will grow as it’s deciduous and newly planted, but it seems healthy. Overall, I’m very happy with both the urn and the service. I would strong recommend this company.

    Azalea for my cat

The instructions were so helpful. I appreciated the direction and ease of use. The plant came and was in wonderful condition. The helpful zone configurator made it very easy to be sure I picked a plant that would do well in my area.

    Lovely Tribute

The kit arrived quickly with all of the components needed to create a lovely tribute to my late dog. No issues putting everything together, except the biodegradable urn is really big for animal ashes and requires a huge hole to plant. I understand that an urn of this size is important for the volume of human ashes, but maybe make a smaller one for pets that’s easier to plant? Just a thought for a future product. Anyway, a very nice kit overall.

    Awesome

Really nice urn - my dog passed last month and have been looking for something special for her. Love the personalization and that it's affordable - thanks!
