Why Our BioUrn® is the Leading Biodegradable Urn
The Living Urn® is unique as it is the only bio urn on the market designed specifically to be used with actual tree saplings, or baby trees. In addition, The Living Urn® is the first and only all-in-one system developed to provide people with all they need to grow a beautiful, enduring memory tree with the cremated remains of a loved one.
As part of the system, The Living Urn® comes with RootProtect™, our proprietary ash neutralizing agent that counters certain properties of the cremated remains to make the growing environment more suitable for tree growth. It also includes our proprietary BioUrn®, a biodegradable urn that is filled with your loved one’s ashes, along with the soil additives, and planted in combination with a small tree of choice that we ship directly to your doorstep at the optimal planting time.
The Living Urn’s BioUrn® is made from a highly functional, proprietary material and was designed with the help of material engineers, soil scientists and arborists. The material is special as it stays hard and rigid when holding cremated remains as an urn, but softens, and eventually breaks down when planted. Also, it is large enough to hold all of a person or pet’s cremated remains, or can be used with as little as desired. This is important as it provides the needed depth to accommodate a tree seedling, or baby tree.
In addition, our special BioUrn® is all-natural and contains no chemicals or glues – produced using only water, pressure and heat. It is constructed from special organic plant-derived material that won’t impede or block root growth.
