Living Urn’s Seasonal Trees Begin Shipping in March!

The Living Urn®, America’s leading bio urn and planting system, is excited to announce that its Seasonal Trees, including the vibrant and beautiful oaks, maples, dogwoods, willows, cherry, etc., will begin shipping for the Spring 2017 planting season during the week of March 12th to the warmer regions of the U.S., then roll-out throughout the U.S. during the second half of March and April.

All of The Living Urn’s Seasonal Trees are provided by the Arbor Day Foundation, America’s leading non-profit dedicated to planting trees with over a million members, partners, and affiliates. Upon receipt by a customer, these trees are approximately 2 to 4 feet tall and shipped in bare root form, meaning there is no soil on the roots. The Arbor Day Foundation ships bare root stock (vs. potted trees) as they have some nice advantages in terms of root health, larger root mass, growth rate, ease of transplanting, quality control and performance.

Mark Brewer, The Living Urn’s President commented on the start of Spring shipping, “This is a great time of the year for us and our customers. We’re excited to provide our customers with their tree of choice at the optimal time to plant. By working with the Arbor Day Foundation, our customers only receive the highest quality tree seedlings. Also, due to the increased number of customers who will be planting a Living Urn this Spring, we’ve ramped up our customer service team here in Denver to be available to answer any questions our customers have prior to, during, or after planting.”

Brewer continued, “During our product development phase, we enlisted a number of expert arborists and soil scientists to help design our proprietary BioUrn® and planting system to make sure it would work, even for people without a green thumb. This includes designing our bio urn to only be used with seedlings, or baby trees and not seeds. This is because it can be a huge challenge to grow a mature tree from a seed. It also included developing a proprietary soil additive called RootProtect™ that helps counter certain properties of cremated remains to make the soil environment more suitable for tree growth. With The Living Urn, our customers receive everything they need to grow a living memorial – a tree seedling suitable for their area, our proprietary BioUrn®, RootProtect™, a premium growth mix, aged wood chips, and easy to follow planting instructions. Nobody else provides such a complete system and The Living Urn is the only bio urn designed to be used with tree seedlings, which we believe is very important.”

“We went the extra mile to develop something that works, and because of that, we’re seeing amazing testimonials from customers and have quickly become the bio urn of choice of U.S. funeral homes.”
